April 22, Earth Day, Sandy Memorial

It's April 22, 2020. Earth Day. And the anniversary of my sister Sandy's death in 2006. It means I do four things today:

• Day off from work
• Register for Howl at the Moon 8-hour ultra
• Donate to the Champaign County Humane Society
• Go for a memorial run

Maybe a fifth thing...raise a beer! It's become a nice tradition for me. Time off from work, chance to remember my sister, and donate to support animals. Yeah, and run too. And register to run more at Howl. I think my sister would approve. Miss you sis. One of these years I'll run the Humboldt Redwoods/Avenue of the Giants marathon in your honor. Maybe even with big bro Mark.
