Solo in the Snow

Ran the Clinton Lake trail solo today. Cuz Don had some pulled muscle issues so he didn't join me. The trail was covered with light snow--about half inch in most places, but up to 4 inches on sections of the east side. I took lots of pictures. Those can be found on my Picasa photo site. We are supposed to have warmer weather with a chance of rain this weekend. The snow will be gone by Monday. My guess is we'll have more snow before the winter is over.

NOTE: We have our first Clinton race training run on Saturday, January 12 at 8am. We start at the north fork canoe access parking lot for the training run--that's where I'm at in the picture. Not the actual race start/finish area.

Chris. Nice photos. Amazing how different Clinton Lake looks today compared to when I was there Thanksgiving weekend and then again compared to last years race. Please keep posting photos if you can.

I'll keep taking pictures and posting--you keep reading. Now have 115 for the race! That leaves only 9 spots to go.

Pics really give me a feel for the course -- looks great! And the snow makes everything so serene & peaceful -- I'll take that over mud any day. Been enjoying keeping up with your blog, may have to start one myself now . . .

Ed,
Glad you like the pics. The snow is nice when it's only an inch or so. I'll take it over mud too. Although mud can be fun if you don't care about how fast you are running.

I wish all RD's posted ongoing trail conditions, etc. to bring more awareness as you do on your blog. Keep it up. Thanks
