COVID-19 Personal Bests: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon

Over the last 4 months, I've done a lot of solo running. And no official races. Damn you COVID-19! But, my running has been going very well. I've been consistent and I've tried to throw in some fast times at tradition distances. In fact, I've knocked off a few personal bests--well, personal bests over the last 3-4 years. Here are my current COVID-19 inspired time trial PBs:

DistanceTimeAge Graded EqualAge Graded %Avg PowerHR AvgHR max
15.524.5875%342 W165176
3.120.3717.3673%317 W162170
6.241.1635.2875%317 W157169
13.11.37.061.23.5969%286 W148162

I'm proud of all of these times! According to the age-graded tables, the half-marathon time is the weakest (69%) and ripe for a new PB. I plan to better all of these in the next 2 months. Cooler weather would help--especially for the longer distances. I'll focus on the mile and 5 km times first. Then work my way to the longer distances. Heck, in the fall, maybe I'll try for a solo full marathon! Maybe.

One confession...all of these times were run in my newish Nike Vaporfly Next% shoes. They do make a difference. Probably 4-5% better than a regular shoe. I'll take that advantage. At 54 years old, any extra boost is worth it.
